Hamzeh Al Hussien

In Conversation with Hamzeh Al Hussien: Amy Golding (Theatre-maker) talks with Hamzeh Al-Hussien. Winner of the 2023 North East Culture Award for Best Newcomer, Hamzeh (nicknamed Penguin) is a Syrian Refugee with an extraordinary story to share.

James Harris

James is a children’s author (one of the tallest in Middlesbrough!) and a mentor and workshop leader at Writers Block North East. He'll be asking 'So, what’s your story?' - and following the show children can take part in a short story-making workshop with James too!

Wajid Hussain

Wajid Hussain is a charming, perceptive and uniquely improvisational poet who will be creating something especially impromptu just for us.

Kerry Green

Singer Kerry Green of Discography is one of of our musical team (who will be inviting you to sing a long if you want to)

Les Watts

Providing the grooves and the tunes is Les Watts and his magical fingers.

Pui Lee

Artist Lee Pui will be folding paper - join her before and after the show and take home a special origami memento of the day.
